A lot of the balls are in pretty bad shape and some very discolored. As my caption states, don't expect them to look near as good as the Hunter 48 bag of balls at Wal-Mart. It's pretty much that you get what you pay for. I get the Hunter 48 bag at Wal-Mart for about $20 vs getting 96 in this bag for about $23. So, it's roughly 1/2-price. I use these for practice, and, particularly after a rain, they will end up getting filthy anyway. I also gradually end up losing them. So, for my purposes, this is probably still a good deal.
I have purchased a couple of different bags of shag balls. This was my first set through Amazon. The balls were generally pretty banged up. I have had much better luck at walmart where I can see the balls. Maybe they are taking advantage of the fact that you can not see them first. Who knows.
